Meals Ministry

Meals Ministry

When parishioners come home from hospital, or have been recently bereaved, or have faced some kind of trauma, our ministry extends beyond our prayer support and pastoral minstry into areas of real practical support. In John 21:15-19, Jesus asks Peter repeatedly if he loves Him. And every time Peter assents that, yes, he does love Jesus, our Lord gives Peter the same directive. He tells him, “Feed my lambs,” or “Feed my sheep.” Therefore in order that we display God’s love to each other, we must show it both pastorally and practically.

As a Church family we want to provide that practical care to those who find themselves in difficult situations. If you know of anyone who would appreciate pre-prepared meals for a limited period get in touch with the parish office to arrange this either by email at david@theunitedparish.org.uk or by phone 028 9335 4814.

Due to Covid-19 regulations, all meals are pre-purchased from reputable shops in sealable containers which can be easily heated in a microwave.
