A healthy Christian community is one in which people know that they are loved, visitors are welcome and young and old alike are valued and feel safe. The care that we offer, both at times of crisis and in everyday life is an active proclamation of God’s love in Christ and for all the world.
We are blessed that within the United Parish, we have a true sense of family; we have the very one, and the not so young…, we have those that are busy with work, and we have those that now are spending their years in Nursing Homes. However every one within the family is loved.
Our core value states that “we are a community church with a pastoral heart”. One way of demonstrating this is through pastoral visiting. This is done by Revd Jonny, alongside a Pastoral Visiting Team. The team is extremely helpful in visiting homes as it is impossible for Jonny to call with over 300 families, and therefore his focus must be on those who are housebound, elderly and those with specific pastoral needs.
If you would like a pastoral visit, either specifically from a member of the staff team, or from the Pastoral Visiting Team, please contact David in the Parish Office on 028 9335 4814 or by email david@theunitedparish.org.uk
